Titan Comics, out now

Los Angeles 2029, and Ash is on the run again as replicant cult leader Yotun orders his army of fanatical super-human followers to kill her.

Time is running out for all parties in the penultimate issue of Titan’s Blade Runner comic book series. For super-Replicant Yotun, whose body is slowly shutting down, and for Blade Runner Ash, being pursued by the underground army, the clock is ticking down.

What a fantastic run this has been, Mike Johnson’s plotting has been so precise, only letting us know what we needed as the story unfolded. Concluding with a significant cliffhanger, there’s everything to play for in the concluding issue, and there’s likely to be death at every corner.

Verdict: Unbelievably we’re at Issue 11 already, this series having just flown by. Let’s hope this isn’t Ash’s last case, as she’s a fully-fleshed character in a beautifully-realised environment with plenty more story to tell. 9/10
