Titan, out now
While Ash is being transported to prison, the police are ambushed and Ash is taken to a deserted farmhouse by members of the Replicant Resistance.
Titan’s ongoing sequel series to Blade Runner hits its penultimate issue, setting things up for a decisive climax – the Replicant Resistance have been living under the noses of humans for years, quietly existing as hired labour. Ash’s spine rig needs some attention and she gains sympathy from a Replicant medic just as Blade Runner Hythe Mk II tracks her down.
What can I say? This is a winning formula, blending just the right amount of plot reveal with Andrea Guinaldo’s authentic and highly-detailed environments. It’s been quite the ride.
Verdict: As Issue 12 beckons, with the conclusion of Ash’s eight-year quest for justice and salvation in sight, we’re treated to another blast of dystopian thrills and twists. 8/10
