Tom Neenan’s luck with modern technology isn’t improving – his new fridge seems to have a mind of its own…
We’ve all seen those news stories about the next generation of fridges that will be able to compile a list of what you need to buy next time you’re at the store – or even order it automatically online. Tom Neenan’s second Hauntening tale wonders what might happen if someone – or something – else decided to use that facility.
It’s faster and funnier than the first instalment, and with at least one moment that will make you jump (not ideal if, as I was, you’re driving at the time!). Neenan plays it straight the majority of the time, which makes both the comedy and the horror come across better, and he’s assisted by a cast who bring out the slightly surreal side to the piece.
The 15 minute format works well for this sort of piece, and I hope we’ll hear more of Tom’s mishaps in the months to come.
Verdict: A neat piece of comedy horror. 8/10
