Have you ever wanted to clone yourself when up against too many conflicting priorities?
Of course – we all have. “I can’t be in two places at once!” we moan, just like No. It’s the fact that it’s so relatable to our over-connected lives in the 24/7 fast-lane that makes it so terrifying. The cacophony of voices we hear are voices many of us have heard in our heads now and again – on insecure days, on stressful days, on sad days. We long for a solution to overcome our FOMO – but the easy way out isn’t always the best.
No has a dream about opening a door, that’s the spoiler-free gist of it. From that point on, inexplicable and confusing things start happening to her and it’s as if her deepest anxieties are being taken down and used as evidence against her. Welcome to Lusus.
The events that unfold aren’t just strange, they’re her worst nightmare and they spiral into devastating catastrophe. I can’t believe my ears as the horror unfolds and I’m left with a racing heart, gasping for breath by the end. I need more. But don’t open the door.
Verdict: One of the most insidious and creepy podcasts I’ve ever heard. 9/10
