Truth, fear and the American actress’ dream.

The stuff – red and sticky stuff that is – hits the fan in the penultimate instalment.

Siobhan thinks she’s far too clever as she tears down the walls of Rose’s perfect New York fairy-tale, but there’s some collateral damage and Maya should know better than to make a life-changing decision when she’s in a state of shock.

There is light and dark searching for Gully and Rose, but how can she tell who to trust and who to run from?

The ambiguity of the new players we meet and the events Rose has to navigate fuel the paranoia and fear and it’s nicely done – for example, there’s a strange, live gift for Gully but is it foe or friend? While Rose is unsure, so are we. Even then, the blistering speed of the story leaves no room to dwell as we hurtle to the conclusion of this unique tale.

Verdict: Surely there’s too much to tie up in the final episode? 8/10
