With Ready Or Not 2 in cinemas, the Radio Silence boys are very much in the public eye and are wasting no time getting moving on their next picture. The long, long awaited return of the ’90s era Mummy movies already locked in Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz to return as Rick and Evie O’Connell. Now, the family is (almost) complete.

John Hannah, whose delightful work as Jonathan, Evie’s brother and deeply rubbish treasure hunter, was a highlight of the original movies, is also back. A legendary Scottish character actor, Hannah is no stranger to genre spaces. He’s had memorable turns in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Black Mirror and had a haunting cameo in The Last of Us.

That’s three. Now we need Oded Fehr back as Ardeth Bey and the circle will finally be complete. Get it done, chaps, you’re SO CLOSE.

The Mummy is schedule to release in 2028 on May 19th. It will purportedly begin shooting in London and Morocco in autumn.

In the meantime, why not check out the original three movies. The first two are incredibly good fun and the third is slightly less, but still a really good time.
