The first casualty of the Anne Rice Immortal Universe is Talamasca: The Secret Order.

Talamasca: The Secret Order starred Nicholas Denton, and co-starred Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Celine Buckens, with Jason Schwartzman guest starring and Eric Bogosian and Justin Kirk reprising their roles from Interview with the Vampire.

“While we are not proceeding with another season of Talamasca: The Secret Order, we are proud of the series and grateful for the efforts of everyone involved. The Talamasca has a storied place within the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and we expect to see at least some of these characters, and the organization itself, in future expressions of the franchise,” AMC said in a statement Friday afternoon.

Interview with the Vampire continues for a third season, now retitled The Vampire Lestat, on June 7. Mayfair Witches is also expected to return this year.
