Deadline is reporting that a fresh attempt is being made to revive Terry Nation’s Blake’s 7.

The Last of Us’ Peter Hoar is working with A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’s Matthew Bouch and Big Finish supremo Jason Haigh-Ellery in a new production company, Multitude Productions, with a view to Hoar directing a pilot episode of a revamped version of the space saga. Blake’s 7 aired on the BBC from 1978 to 1981, and has been revived on audio over the past few years.

“The Blake’s 7 story is legendary because they were given a ‘Softly Softly’ slot that was intended for police drama with a budget intended for one big set and a few location shoots,” Hoar told Deadline. “At the time it felt like it meant something. Those shows got into my veins. I could tell they didn’t have money but I was able to compartmentalize and enjoy the ride knowing that the sets wobbled.”

Other projects on the books include The Search for the Dice Man and Patrick Carman’s Skeleton Creek.
