Writer, actor and broadcaster Toby Hadoke will be presenting his annual round up of those we have lost during 2025.

“I’m so grateful that Radio 4 Extra have allowed me to, once again, pay tribute to the great and the good from the worlds of fantasy, horror and science-fiction in my annual obituary round up Absent Friends which, this year, has two episodes : on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th December,” Hadoke said. He will also be presenting The 7th Dimension before and after Christmas, and on the first weekend of 2026.

On the Sunday there is a chance to hear his excellent adaptation of Nigel Kneale’s The Road, starring Mark Gatiss, Adrian Scarborough, Hattie Morahan, Colin McFarlane, Susan Wokoma, Francis Magee and Ralph Ineson. Click here to read our review, and here for our interview with Hadoke about it.
