The Director’s Cut of Dark City is now available in 4K from Arrow, and we chatted with its director, Alex Proyas:
All of my movies are movies that I want to see, that’s why I make them. I have no patience for the telephone viewers, people watching movies on their phones. I still value the quasi-religious experience of sitting in a big theatre with a lot of other people. It’s almost like the church of art and I still value that.
