The Punisher – aka Frank Castle – made his first appearance in issue 129 of The Amazing Spider-Man, so it’s appropriate that the screen version, played by Jon Bernthal, should be set to turn up in the next Spider-Man movie.

According to THR, Bernthal will be in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is filming shortly for release next year. He reprised his role as Castle for the recent Daredevil: Born Again, and has his own Disney+ movie on the horizon.
