Anderson Entertainment’s latest expansion of the worlds of Gerry Anderson will be an animated series, Hit Squad, made in collaboration with Hanna-Barbera Europe.

Hanna Barbera Studios Europe has begun development on Hit Squad, a new adult animated series inspired by the work of visionary British producer Gerry Anderson. The series is developed in close partnership with Anderson Entertainment led by Gerry’s son Jamie Anderson, who will serve as an Executive Producer on the project.

From the world of Gerry Anderson, Hit Squad is an espionage action-comedy. Set in 1990s London, the series follows an international team of talented spies hellbent on putting death before dishonour as they battle the murky world of hidden foes and dangerous villains.  This full puppet show is next generation Supermarionation for an adult audience.

“As the proud son of Gerry Anderson, I’m genuinely grateful to Warner Bros. and Hanna Barbera Europe for recognising the timeless spark in Anderson storytelling and jumping aboard Hit Squad so enthusiastically,” Jamie Anderson noted. “Their partnership proves that when you nurture authentic, family-rooted IP, you don’t just feed into nostalgia – you unlock fresh adventures for today’s audience. And with Thunderbirds’ 60th anniversary on the horizon, this is a brief but perfect launch window for new Anderson stories to take flight.”
