The latest incarnation of the Equalizer has reached the end of the road.

CBS has decided not to renew the series for a sixth season, and is not pursuing the spin-off with Titus Welliver. The spy-fi show was based on the original 1980s series starring Edward Woodward, with Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall. A separate cinema franchise with Denzel Washington has reached its third instalment.

The series finale will air in the US on May 4th, with Sky broadcasts about six weeks behind.
