A fresh take on Robert Heinlein’s Starship Troopers is on the way, courtesy of District 9’s Neill Blomkamp.

THR, which broke the news, notes that the new movie will return to the source material, rather than be based on the universe created in the 1997 movie and its muitiple sequels. Columbia Pictures will be producing the film, to be written and directed by Blomkamp.
