Gene Hackman, hailed by many for providing the best portrayal of Superman’s enemy Lex Luthor on screen, has died aged 95.
He played Luthor in three of the Superman movies opposite Christopher Reeves’ Man of Steel. His other genre roles included Young Frankenstein, the animated Antz, and The Invaders on TV, early in his career.
