Anderson Entertainment have announced that there will be new editions of the classic Gerry & Sylvia Anderson shows to mark the 60th anniversary of Thunderbirds.
A key highlight is the high-definition release of Thunderbirds on Blu-ray in its original 4:3 format. This special edition presents Thunderbirds in pristine high definition in its original format for the first time in the UK. The release includes an array of brand-new special features, including the three special Anniversary Episodes, produced in 2015.
Also included will be exclusive extra content including interviews with the creators, and insights into the production techniques that made it a ground-breaking landmark in television history. This special edition allows viewers to relive the thrilling adventures of International Rescue as they have never been presented before!
Anderson Entertainment is committed to bringing classic Gerry and Sylvia Anderson series including Space: 1999, Captain Scarlet, and many more to fans through special, limited edition Blu-ray, and 4K physical media releases.
Jamie Anderson, son of Gerry Anderson and Managing Director of Anderson Entertainment, says: “The 60th anniversary of Thunderbirds is a remarkable milestone and after years of anticipation, we are beyond excited to finally present this original format release to our dedicated global fans who cherish these shows as much as we do. As the fanbase for my father’s creations grows across generations, we are thrilled to be able to celebrate the
ground-breaking legacy of his work with these special releases.”
These limited-edition Blu-ray, and 4K physical media releases will be available from the Gerry Anderson Store and physical media retailers from later this year.
