American actor Tony Todd – known to genre fans for his multiple roles in SF and horror – has died aged 69.

From Candyman to the Final Destination franchise, with appearances in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (as the adult Jake) and Voyager, Hercules and Xena, The X-Files, Smallville, Chuck and Stargate SG-1 among many others, Todd was a key player in the genre for nearly forty years. He spoke with SFB back in 2016 to promote Bernard Rose’s Frankenstein, with the interview covering a wide selection of his roles.
