Big Finish has released details of the next stories in the Torchwood monthly range.

Suzie Costello returns, a ghost story for Christmas, and a terrible trap in a car park – all in the Torchwood – Monthly Range from October 2024 to January 2025.

October’s release will be the range’s experimental Hallowe’en special, Widdershins. This spooky story stars Cerith Flinn (Wolfblood) as a young man who once tried to raise the devil, alongside Catrin Powell (Pobol y Cwm) and Casualty star Charles Dale as his parents.

November’s Bad Connection features the return of Indira Varma (recently seen in Doctor Who: Rogue) as Suzie Costello, alongside guest star Jason Watkins (McDonald & Dodds) as a man who answers a ringing phone box and finds himself in mortal danger.

In December, listeners will be treated to a festive ghost story titled Reflect, by Torchwood TV writer Joe Lidster. This story features a mystery going back to the early days of Torchwood, and marks the fourth outing for the popular pairing of Ace (Sophie Aldred) and Mr Colchester (Paul Clayton).

And in Ianto’s Inferno, released in January, Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd) encounters two amateur traders in alien artefacts who have a plan to rob Torchwood. But all three find themselves in the ultimate trap – lost in a car park. This is the Torchwood debut of writer Roland Moore.

Widdershins by Guy Adams, due for release in October

One night long ago Iain tried to raise the devil. He walked the wrong way round an ancient stone in the village graveyard. He didn’t think anything would happen, not really. But something did. Something far worse than the Devil came to Llandyth. And now, many years later, Iain’s trying to work out what really happened that night. Did Torchwood ruin his life?

Bad Connection by Aaron Lamont, due for release in November

A lonely man is walking past a telephone box when he notices it’s ringing. On the other end of the line is a woman telling him he’s in terrible danger. Will someone finally listen to Suzie Costello? And will she save Emlyn Crook?

Reflect by Joseph Lidster, due for release in December

“I will live in the past, the present, and the future. The spirits of all three shall strive within me.” Christmas is a time for ghost stories, everyone knows that. But it is also a time to reflect on the past, consider the present and muse on where we might be in the future. Dorothy McShane and St John Colchester-Price have gathered to tell each other – and you at home – four stories of horror and hope, of spirits and sadness. It’s the longest night of the year. And the lady in green waits…

Ianto’s Inferno by Roland Moore, due for release in January

Tonight’s the night for Anthony and Dean. No more pruning old people’s gardens. No, they’re about to hit the big time. They’ve an alien artefact, they’ve got a guy on the inside, and tonight they’re going to break into Torchwood and steal everything. All they have to do is find their car.

These Torchwood – Monthly Range stories are each available to pre-order as a collector’s edition single-disc CD (+ download for just £10.99) or as a digital download only (for just £8.99), exclusively from http://www.bigfinish.com
