Ron Harper, who played astronaut Alan Virdon in the 1974 Planet of the Apes TV series, has died aged 91.
As well as the apes show, which Harper said descended into “The Fugitive with fur” and thus only lasted 14 episodes, Harper’s other genre work included appearances as Uncle Jack in the final season of Land of the Lost.
