Actor and director Carl Weathers has died aged 76.
Although perhaps best known generally for his role in the Rocky saga, he had a long genre resume, culminating in appearances in and directing episodes of the Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian. His earlier genre work included appearances in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Predator and Toy Story 4 in the cinema, and The Six Million Dollar Man, Alien Siege and Star vs the Forces of Evil on TV. As a director, he helmed five episodes of Sheena, with showrunner Steven L. Sears praising his preparation and work in a tribute on social media.
