Composer Laurie Johnson, who penned the themes and scores for The Avengers, Jason King, Thriller, The New Avengers and The Professionals among many other works, has died aged 96.
Johnson’s film scores included Dr Strangelove, Captain Kronos – Vampire Hunter and First Men in the Moon. Together with Albert Fennell and Brian Clemens, he founded Mark One Productions, the producers of The New Avengers.
