There have been so many movies pushed back in recent months that it makes a change to report that two genre blockbusters are set to arrive earlier than planned.
Sony have announced that Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will now be released on March 22nd, rather than March 29th. The Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Meanwhile Warners have taken Ghostbusters’ old spot, with the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire now coming on March 29th rather than April 12th. Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Kaylee Hottle, and Daniel Stevens star in the latest MonsterVerse tale, which will probably get more details after tomorrow’s finale of the Apple TV Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
