There’s not been an adventure in the Star Trek franchise on the big screen since 2016, but yet another project is on the cards, according to reports at Deadline.

This latest version would be set decades before the 2009 Star Trek movie (which was concurrent with the original show and its own prequel Strange New Worlds). Seth Grahame-Smith is writing the screenplay with Andor’s Toby Haynes set to direct. Apparently, a fourth movie featuring the Kelvin-verse cast (Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto et al) is also still being considered.
