The new Alien TV series has begun shooting in Bangkok – but without those castmembers who are part of SAG-AFTRA.

Deadline reports that Alex Lawther, from The End of the F*cking World, will play the male lead, a soldier named CJ, opposite Sydney Chandler, with Samuel Blenkin (Black Mirror) as Boy Kavalier, a CEO. Essie Davis (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries) will play Dame Silvia with The White Tiger’s Adarsh Gourav as Slightly.

Noah Hawley’s series will shoot as long as possible without the striking cast.
