The proposed TV remake of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis is no longer going forward, according to Deadline.
Producers UCP confirmed to Deadline that “Push costs and uncertainty related to the ongoing strike led to this difficult decision,” with production in Victoria, Australia brought to a halt after seven weeks of hiatus. Sam Esmail’s take on the classic material was being produced for Apple TV+.
