The CW has decided the fate of its two remaining superhero shows, with Superman & Lois confirmed for a fourth, 10-episode, season, and Gotham Knights cancelled.

The Smallville based show will apparently have a reduction in cast as well as episodes, to bring it in at a more manageable level for the new owners of the CW – Deadline suggests there are 12 core cast members – but the comparatively lower budget of the Gotham series wasn’t enough to save it (although perhaps inevitably, a Save Gotham Knights online petition has started.)
