Tributes have been pouring in for respected British actor, director and archivist Murray Melvin, who has died aged 90.
Melvin had a long career on stage and screen, notably working with Ken Russell and Stanley Kubrick.
Melvin was perhaps best known to genre fans in recent years for playing Bilis Manger in Torchwood, a role he reprised for Big Finish’s range. He also appeared in the very first episode of The Avengers
