There won’t be a reboot of True Blood at HBO after all, it has been confirmed.

In a wide ranging conversation, Casey Bloys CEO of HBO and HBO Max told Variety that the proposed new version, from  Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and NOS4A2’s Jami O’Brien, had got as far as some scripts but “nothing that felt like it got there.” Any further seasons of Watchmen are similarly unlikely, as it would require Damon Lindelof to be involved: “If he doesn’t think there’s a story that he wants to put his heart and soul into, it’s hard for me to think that it would be worth doing.”
