Writer and producer Jeff Vlaming, who contributed to multiple genre shows during his career, has died aged 63.

Vlaming is perhaps best known for his time on Fringe and The 100, but his career began with Northern Exposure in 1992. His work can be also seen on The X-Files, where he was story editor, Weird Science, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Xena: Warrior Princess, Cleopatra 2525, Sheena, the 21st century Battlestar Galactica, Reaper, Stargate Universe, Teen Wolf, Hannibal, and Outcast.
