Lidya Jewett has been cast in a central role for the new version of The Exorcist, a sequel to the 1973 classic.
The young actor has appeared in numerous films and TV series including the first Black Panther. The new Exorcist will see Ellen Burstyn return as Chris MacNeil. Peter Sattler and David Gordon Green have scripted the movie, to be directed by Halloween’s Green. The plan is for the film to be released to mark the 50th anniversary of the original later this year.
