Peacock have retracted their order for a series from Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson based on the Aftershock Comics series Dead Day, according to Variety.

A straight to series order for the comic book adaptation was given in January 2022, and Universal will now shop the project elsewhere.  The series follows “an ensemble of characters as they navigate the annual ‘dead day,’ when for one night the dead come back to complete unfinished business, be that to celebrate a night back on earth or to torment the living.” The original comic book was published in 2020 from Writer/Creator Ryan Parrott and Artist/Creator Evgeny Bornyakov.
