It looks as if there may be a third film in the Tron franchise, following the 1982 original and the 2010 sequel Tron: Legacy. Tron: Ares is preparing for production later this year, according to Deadline.

Jared Leto is set to star in the new film, with Joachim Rønning as director. Jesse Wigutow has written the script, which is being seen as a sequel to Tron: Legacy. The animated sequel Tron: Uprising can now be found on Disney+.
