Back in October at the launch of season 1 of The Midnight Club, Mike Flanagan promised he would provide the audience with answers – via social media if necessary.

Following the show’s cancellation by Netflix, he has kept that promise, with a long detailed post on Tumblr.

In it he reveals not simply answers to the questions left hanging at the end of season 1, but also the proposed character development – and the books from Christopher Pike’s work that the second season would have drawn upon. Not everything is laid out, as some elements would have depended on how production went, but unlike most shows, at least there is some form of closure.
