Vikings and Raised by Wolves’ Travis Fimmel has joined the cast of HBO Max’s Dune prequel.

He will be playing Desmond Hart, “a charismatic soldier with an enigmatic past who seeks to gain the Emperor’s trust at the expense of the Sisterhood.” Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson lead the cast, with  Indira Varma, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds and Chloe Lea also on board. The series is set 10,000 years before the events of the movies.
