Japan’s national monster is returning to his own shores next year, with a new movie coming from the studio that created him, Toho.
The announcement was made on the monster’s 68th birthday, November 3rd, and the new film will arrive on his 69th. Takashi Yamazaki will be directing, but plot details are being kept under wraps.
The animated Godzilla Island series from the 1990s is also returning, with all 256 episodes being released on Toho’s YouTube channel this month.
