The proposed Green Lantern series at HBO Max is going ahead – sort of.

According to THR, there’s been a total rethink on the show (which predated the arrival of James Gunn and Peter Safran as DC head honchos). Seth Grahame-Smith’s eight part series, starring Finn Wittrock and Jeremy Irvine as Guy Gardner and Alan Scott has been discarded, and the show will now focus on John Stewart, the Black Green Lantern from the 1970s modelled on Sidney Poitier. There’s now no timeframe for its arrival on the streamer.
