Austin Stoker, who starred in two different variants of the Planet of the Apes franchise, has died aged 92.
Stoker is probably best known for his role in John Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13, but prior to that he appeared as MacDonald in the final film in the original Apes cycle, Battle for the Planet of the Apes, and followed that voicing the lead, Jeff Allen, in the animated series Return to the Planet of the Apes.
His other genre work included Gemini Man (the TV series not the Will Smith movie), The Six Million Dollar Man, The Incredible Hulk, Time Walker, Airwolf and 3 From Hell.
