Veteran genre producer Glen Mazzara is set to showrun Swordplay, a fantasy series from an original idea by Jonathan and Josh Baker, developed by them with Macro Television Studios, Hebru Brantley and Eric Phillips.

According to Variety, Swordplay “follows a sheltered teen and his newly befriended Hypebeast crew as they lace up their retro kicks and go for glory with an ancient sword used to defeat otherworldly creatures on the streets of LA”.
