One of the key Walking Dead spin-offs is getting a name change – which may hint at a change in emphasis for the show.
The show focussing on Maggie and Negan will no longer be “Isle of the Dead” but instead will be called Dead City. The first six episode season is currently shooting with both stars – Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan – praising Eli Jorné’s script.
The series “envisions the popular Maggie and Negan characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.”
