Deadline is reporting that IT and The Stand’s Owen Teague is being lined up to star in the new 20th Century reworking of Planet of the Apes.
Wes Ball is at the helm of the latest movie, which he also wrote. Details are being kept deliberately quiet but Deadline suggests Teague will be playing “the lead primate”.
The original Pierre Boulle novel has spawned two cycles of movies, as well as a standalone feature, a live action TV show and a cartoon version.
