There’ll be a new face in Smallville for the third season of the CW’s Superman & Lois, after it was announced that Jordan Elsass will not be returning.

“Jordan Elsass has notified the Studio that he will not be returning to Superman & Lois for season three due to personal reasons. The role of Jonathan Kent will be recast,” Warner Bros. said in a statement. Elsass has yet to give any public response to the news.

Elsass has played Superman and Lois Lane’s son for the first two seasons of the Canadian-shot show.
