Code 404 writer Daniel Peak faces a constant challenge with the sci-fi procedural sitcom, and with a new series starting tonight, he chats about how he’s dealt with it…

The greatest challenge is probably dealing with that conflict between writing a sitcom that fulfils your expectations at the same time as trying to write a drama that confounds your expectations. Beyond that, the challenges are just simply keeping it funny, really. Just to get as many jokes into a page as possible whilst still maintaining that dramatic-ish narrative.
