A contemporary Spanish take on The Wizard of Oz arrives on Netflix on September 30.

Rainbow is described as “a modern tale of a teenager’s coming-of-age journey loosely inspired by the classic novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” which will feature a lot of music, but not be a musical per se. The film will screen at the 70th San Sebastián International Film Festival’s ‘Velodrome’ section in September 2022 before hitting Netflix.
