British actor Bernard Cribbins has died aged 93.

Known to generations of Doctor Who fans for his appearances in the 1966 Dalek movie Daleks’ Invasion Earth 2150 AD and as Wilfred Mott in the Russell T Davies eras of the show, a role he reprised for Big Finish’s audio series.

Cribbins appeared in multiple genre roles over his career, including narrating the BBC TV adaptation of The Wombles. He played the Canterville Ghost in a 1961 production, and appeared in The Mouse on the Moon, Carry On Spying, the 1967 Casino Royale, two episodes of The Avengers, Space: 1999, Worzel Gummidge, Alice in Wonderland, and multiple episodes of Jackanory.
