Kevin Feige has revealed some of the plans for the MCU moving forward beyond the end of Phase 4 – marked by She-Hulk on Disney+ and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in cinemas.
There are a number of projects not mentioned – including the X-Men related movies such as Deadpool 3 – but below is a summary of what’s been announced or updated this weekend.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania arrives in February 2023. A trailer was shown purely for the in-person audience (and probably will get general release after D23 in September). This introduces Jonathan Majors’ Kang to the movies, as well as the debut of MODOK in live action.
Secret Invasion comes to Disney+ Spring 2023, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders. Again, a trailer was shown for release later.
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 hits cinemas in May 2023 – again, a trailer to follow. Chukwudi Iwuji plays the High Evolutionary, and we may find out Rocket’s backstory.
Echo is due for release to Disney+ in summer 2023, the continuation of the character’s story from Hawkeye. Both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are expected to appear in this as Daredevil and the Kingpin respectively.
Loki season 2 is also set to appear in the summer of 2023. This is currently shooting.
Blade will be the last movie of 2023, with Mahershala Ali taking over as the Daywalker.
Ironheart – featuring Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams, introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – will air in the autumn of 2023 on Disney+. Chinaka Hodge is head writer on this.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos follows in the winter of 2023/24, from WandaVision’s Jac Shaeffer. This was originally known as “Agatha: House of Harkness”.
Daredevil: Born Again launches in spring 2024 (see our full story here.)
Captain America; New World Order marks the debut of Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as Captain America on the big screen. This will be released in May 2024 (begging the question what might be appearing in the spring…)
Phase 5 comes to an end with Thunderbolts in July 2024, a team up of multiple MCU anti-heroes.
Phase 6 is only planned to cover a year – from November 2024 to November 2025, and only three projects for that period were announced (although the “corporate chart” Feige showed indicated a lot of spaces for other movies and Disney+ series.

Fantastic 4 will make their full MCU debut in November. At present Marvel hasn’t announced a successor to Jon Watts, who stepped away from the project.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will arrive in May 2025, with the wrap-up of Phase 6 and the whole Multiverse Saga in Avengers: Secret Wars. Apparently the Russos are not – at this point – involved with these two movies.
