Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Amanda Stenberg has joined the cast of the latest Star Wars TV series, The Acolyte.

The series is set a century before The Phantom Menace, the period that’s being chronicled in The High Republic stories that are appearing in multiple media at present. Leslye Headland is showrunner for the series, and explained the logic behind the series to Vanity Fair in May. “My question when watching ‘The Phantom Menace’ was always like, ‘Well, how did things get to this point?’ How did we get to a point where a Sith lord can infiltrate the Senate and none of the Jedi pick up on it? Like, what went wrong? What are the scenarios that led us to this moment?”
