To be in with a chance of an Emmy this year, it seems as if starting with an S will be an advantage if you’re a genre show, with Severance and Squid Game gaining 14 nominations each and Stranger Things 13, all of which are up for Best Drama.

Moon Knight gained 8, with Station Eleven and What We Do in the Shadows receiving 7. Loki achieved 6. What If, Marvel’s animated series, gained 3 including Outstanding Character Voice-Over for both Chadwick Boseman, reprising T’Challa for the last time, and Jeffrey Wright’s Watcher.

All of the Marvel live action shows’ nominations are for technical awards. Moon Knight‘s eight are for Cinematography for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, Fantasy Sci/Fi Costumes, Music Composition for a Limited/Anthology Series/Movie/Special, Character Voice Over Performance for F. Murray Abraham, Sound Editing for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special; Sound Mixing for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special; Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series, Limited or Anthology Series or Movie and Stunt Performance.

Loki’s are Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program (hour or more),  Cinematography for a Single Camera Series (hour or more), Fantasy Sci/Fi Costumes, Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score), Original Main Title Theme Music and Sound Editing for a Comedy/Drama Series. Hawkeye gained two nominations: Stunt Coordination for a Comedy Series or Variety Program and Stunt Performance.

Star Trek has received five nominations: Picard has four of them: Outstanding Period And/Or Character Makeup (Non-Prosthetic), Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One Hour) and Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes while Strange New Worlds is in the running for Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One Hour).

The Book of Boba Fett received four: Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour), Outstanding Special Effects in a Season or Movie and Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series, Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. Star Wars Visions is up for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program.
