American actor Gregory Itzin – who played multiple roles on various Star Trek shows among many genre roles across his career – has died aged 74.

Itzin was perhaps best known for his appearance as President Logan on the thriller series 24. His genre career began with Mork and Mindy, and he appeared in Voyagers!, Tales from the Darkside, Max Headroom, Eerie Indiana, Quantum Leap, Strange Luck, The Pretender, Millennium, Early Edition, Firefly, and Once Upon A Time. His Star Trek roles included Ilon Tandro in DS9’s Dax, Dr Dysek in Voyager’s Critical Care and Admiral Black and Sopek on Star Trek: Enterprise. He also had a recurring role on spy thriller series Covert Affairs.
