David Mack – known to many SFB readers as author of multiple Star Trek books as well as a consultant on the recent Star Trek animated series – has been presented with the Faust Award by the International Association of Media Tie-In  writers, making him the 2022 Grandmaster.

As well as his work on Star Trek, Mack has written for other franchises including 24, Farscape and The 4400, and has penned his own original novels including the Dark Arts trilogy.
