Marvel superhero and other genre movies and TV shows were the recipients of multiple honours at the MTV Awards held on June 5.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was Best Movie, with Tom Holland winning Best Performance in a Movie, and his co-star Zendaya winning the TV equivalent for Euphoria.

Sophia di Martino won Breakout Performance for her role in Loki, and was part of the Best Team for the same show, alongside Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson.

Scarlet Johansson was the Best Hero for her performance in Black Widow.

Jenna Ortega gave the Most Frightened Performance for Scream, with Ryan Reynolds winning Best Comedic Performance for Free Guy and Daniel Radcliffe acclaimed Best Villain for The Lost City.
